-Subject chosen because of its location, as well as the bright color displayed in the flower.
-rule of thirds= used to give the object significant room, as well as to have leading lines in the picture; Leading lines= used to draw the eye from the background to the subject, back to the focus point of the color; b&w= used to emphasize the pink of the flower; spot color= used to bring out focal point of the flower itself; Framing= subject framed by wooden trellis, bringing the focus to the flower.
-Photoshopping used to desaturate the image, and fade the pink of the rose out to black & white.
